Our Flounder
Personal weBLOG or Website, you be the judge. In either case, here is your chance to see some examples of technical projects that may give you a few ideas for making simple things really complicated. If you are technophobic, you may even get the courage to learn how to set your VCR's clock.

X10 Home Automation
X10 stuff is cool. Inexpensive devices plug into your household wiring allowing you to turn lights on, off or dim, start up or shut down appliances, control alarms, start and stop a VCR with motion detectors, scare holloween treat or treaters or control just about anything else you can imagine.
Here at the Flouder's home, garage, laundry room and den lamps and overhead lights come on to greet visitors and then turn off when no one is arround. If someone comes to the front or back doors, all the porch lights turn on and turn off four to eight minutes later. A wireless TV camera monitors the crawlspace sump pump that, along with necessary lighting, are turned on and off remotely and watched on the living room TV.
